Its open-topped crew compartment bristles with readiness—ammunition tucked in racks, breech mechanisms primed, and a long 85mm cannon trained on the horizon. Designed for agility and punch, this light tank destroyer was the Red Army’s answer to rapid deployment against enemy armor.

On the tabletop, the SU-85B shines as both a dynamic objective and a mobile gun platform. The integrated design features a solid print with high-detail treadwork, stowed supplies, and interior views that pull your players into the scene. Ideal for historical Eastern Front missions or creative re-imaginings in alternate history campaigns.

Position this vehicle at a rural crossroads, staging a last stand against encroaching enemy armor—or place it in ambush, nestled behind broken walls and brush. Its low profile, detailed mechanics, and unique silhouette make it a compelling addition to any battlefield.

Historical Relevance:
The SU-85B was a rare Soviet vehicle developed near the end of World War II as a stopgap measure for mobile fire support. Built on the chassis of the T-70 light tank, it featured a powerful 85mm gun in an open casemate and was deployed in limited numbers. Its lightweight design and firepower gave it a niche role in fast-moving engagements and urban defense.

Theater of Battle Applications:

Eastern Front village skirmishes

Rail depot defense scenarios

Urban resistance campaigns

Armored ambushes along forested roads

Alternate-history armored detachments

Features:

Printed in 28mm scale for tabletop compatibility

Fully integrated chassis and treads for structural strength

Open fighting compartment with modeled ammunition and weapon controls

Realistic hull shaping and field gear

Easy-to-paint details and rugged FDM durability

Usage Ideas:

Deploy in recon-support missions

Position as a hidden ambush piece on dense terrain maps

Use as an objective for salvage or capture missions

Include in Soviet rapid-response forces or light armor columns

Paint for winter, forest, or desert camo to fit any campaign setting

Additional Information:
Our models are printed to order and not kept in stock.
